The town is divided into four microregions: Lusatian Nisa river valley, Działoszyna highlands, Jizera mountains foothills and Turoszow valley which consists of Zatonska lowland, Oleška river (Miedzienka) valley, Rybarzowice hill, Kopacz hill, the Turow mine and its mine tailings impoundment area.
Bogatynia´s highest mountain is Graniczny Wierch with its 616 meters above sea level and the lowest spot is the Lusatian Nisa river bank in Krzewin in 205 meters above sea level. The average altitude of Bogatynia is 260 meters above sea level.
