Kopaczów
This forest village (Waldhufendorf) lies on the very egde of the Turoszow valley and the first records date back to the 13th century.
Due to a complicated borderline between Saxony and Czechia its history was quite a turbulent one. People were able to cross the border whenever they wanted until WWI and also in the interwar period.
The 14th century historical church with the 18th century baroque altar is definitely worth seeing. It is consecrated to St Joseph the Broom. A number of half-timbered houses also should not be missed when visiting Kopaczow.
